Conway WearyConway Weary is professionally licensed (2001) in the practice of  massage & bodywork therapy (NC LMBT license # 2542) and is a Certified Hakomi Therapist. Over the course of her career, she has taught ethics and massage technique at area massage schools.

Conway is also a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA, 2010) and maintains a separate somatically-oriented private counseling practice.

She is profoundly nourished by the graceful dance of being a massage and bodywork provider, and values both deep tissue bodywork and somatic resourcing as independent, adaptable and powerful modalities for supporting a fully expressed life.

Alongside her diverse influences, Conway is a long time dance and movement facilitator. She was a key guiding and inspiring leader in the growth of the Asheville Movement Collective; being particularly instrumental in creating a clear, boundaried and alive container, and has been integral to AMC’s institution of Dynamic Governance, a ground-breaking model for inclusive and consent-based organizational decision making.

A mother and grandmother, she has raised her family here in Asheville and spent many years as a La Leche League Leader, teacher and performer, before becoming a therapist and pursuing the ever deepening path of mindful awareness. She has been called “a champion for others and the good of the whole”, and is cherished by her community as a wise elder. She is boundless in her gratitude to her wonderful teachers, family, clients and peers, and hopes to always be awake to the mysteries, blessings and beauty of life.
